For a long time, I described my career by the roles I'd held.Looking back, I think a better way to describe it is through the questions I've kept coming back to.Communication. Technology. Culture.Whether I was working in healthcare, leading communication across international organisations, or now helping grow a software company, those three threads have always been there.Nerd Chiq is where they come together.It's my place to explore ideas, collect observations and make sense of what I'm learning as I build, read, listen and stay curious. Sometimes that becomes an essay. Sometimes it's a note in my field journal, a photograph, a conversation, or a question that stays with me for weeks.I don't think curiosity is something we leave behind once we become experts. If anything, it becomes more valuable.
Growing tattoogenda
Right now, much of that curiosity has found a home in Tattoogenda.We're at the beginning of an exciting journey, growing software designed specifically for tattoo studios alongside a founder who know the industry inside and out. It's a chance to combine different kinds of expertise: her deep understanding of tattooing, studio life, and entrepreneurship with my background in B2B communication, strategy and commercial growth.That's what makes this opportunity so compelling.Building something from the ground up means every week brings new questions. How do you design technology that genuinely makes someone's day easier? How do you introduce change into an industry with established ways of working? What builds trust in a new product? And how do communication, culture and technology come together to create something people genuinely want to use?Those aren't just product questions. They're human questions.As Tattoogenda grows, I know it will become a constant source of ideas, lessons and observations. I expect many of them will find their way into Nerd Chiq as reflections on what it means to build technology with people.
